Far from the centre
Things we appreciated:
- fast wifi
- normal Chilean breakfast - tea/coffee, juice, bread, eggs, cheese, ham
- Good sized bathroom
- good sized room (enough for my husband and I to both roll out our yoga mats)
Things which weren't ideal for us:
- the sheets and blankets were too small for the bed, so although they were changed every day we didn't trust the cleanliness as there is no cover for the mattress between the mattress and sheet.
- the walls are thin and sound echos up the halls. People were talking late into the night and early in the morning.
- you have to ring the bell to get in each time and sometimes have to wait a while
- a long walk from the bus terminal and central city
- one day we were asked for our key so they could clean our room which was weird when they cleaned it the day before using their own key.
- we felt it was not good value for the stay
On a side note, I'm confused reading comments from other travellers about the use of a kitchen and a shared common area. We were not shown there was a shared kitchen or common area, so maybe things have changed and these may not be available anymore. If having a kitchen is necessary for you I would check with the property before booking. We did sit in the small breakfast room one afternoon but there are no facilities available.
Another review said about not being allowed to consume alcohol. We asked when we arrived and the lady said there was no problem. We enjoyed beers in our room and they cleared the cans each day with no problems. Though note there is no fridge available and no air con or fan so all end up being very warm!
