Fabulous
Great food great accommodation. I know it’s always difficult when you look at booking somewhere and I had looked through all the photos and at all the reviews, but you still have that slight reservation but when we arrived immediately I knew I’d made the right choice. I booked this 5 months ago at the bargain price of £90 per night.Rooms are serviced every day fabulous buffet breakfast. Plenty of staff too. 10/10 Seastar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Such a pleasant, unforgettable stay
My grandson and I had a wonderful stay at the Seastar hotel. Not only was the hotel light and airy, the staff went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and well cared for, often going way beyond the call of duty. Our special thanks to Valerie and Lavine as well as the other receptionists and the restaurant staff. We really appreciated the personal touch that went into your dealings with us.

In terms of cost vs service, this is the best place we stayed in Mauritius. Affordable, in a great location with friendly staff and a great restaurant.
The rooms are simple but clean and stylishly decorated, and the roof terrace is a great spot to grab a drink before dinner.

Better value for money
From Port Louis there was bus number 123 to Filc en Flac where the hotel is located, and as we missed the last bus (19:00), we took a taxi to Victoria Square for Rs 900. Staying at this hotel is for the next day's visit to nearby Calesa Park, where there is a bus stop nearby. There are two buses (fare Rs. 30) to Cascaveelle Shopping Mall, which can then be taken to various places. This Shopping Mall is very stylish in its own right, with a big supermarket and a variety of dining outlets, and it's just 1.4 km from the Casa Park, so we went for it. Calesa Park is claimed to be Little Kenya, but it actually disappointed us and wasn't as fun as we thought, with elephant turtles we've seen in Seychelles before. It was supposed to be a day trip, and the park we entered at 10:30 left at 3:00 p.m. But just in time to give us a closer look at Filc en Flac beachfront, which is divided into hotel and public beach areas, we had a round trip at sunset next week and it was great value! If you're still in Mauritius next time, the Suger Beach hotel inside should come first. Speaking of the Seastar Hotel, we stayed two nights in a row and didn't regret staying here. After all, the hotel was good value for money as a staging post, and our subsequent stay at Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa was four times as expensive. Seastar Hotel is not as big as one might think, with only 19 rooms, and the front desk arranged for us to have the only third floor room in the hotel with a wide view, which is very much appreciated! It was that the air conditioning in the room would somehow automatically shut down, leaving us worried that we would be hot awake at night, but fortunately this didn't actually happen. Near the hotel (out to the right) there is a Thai restaurant where the green chicken curry tastes very good and we only ordered staples and water for Rs 1,000. The hotel itself also offers the option of Half Board. We booked dinner for an extra night for €41, which is a bit of a no-brainer, to be honest. First, dinner has a ceiling of Rs. 950 per person, which is more than we have to pay for (we are thankful that the hotel didn't compare with us because we didn't know the dishes we ordered were above the ceiling), and second, Thai restaurants nearby taste better. The hotel is very good value for money and we don't regret staying here.
