We already had a hire car and chose this hotel because it was out of the way and we hoped it would be quiet.
On arrival the young lad at reception was pleasant and showed us to our room.
Our room appeared dated and smaller then we had expected. The toilet seat was hanging off, as was the skirting throughout the room. The parasole on balcony was broken and the jacuzzi had leaked a massive puddle over a third of the balcony. The young lad had the parasole and toilet fixed immediately and said as he was only actually the driver, he would put in a request with maintenance to fix the jacuzzi. The view from balcony was stunning.
Reviews had complained that the kitchenette was not equipped with anything to make a meal. Indeed it wasn't so we purchased cutlery, crockery and a frying pan.
The cleaners came every day and were friendly, if under resourced.
The breakfast was passable and the staff were friendly.
The saddest thing of all is that this hotel could be amazing if the owners actually paid for a manager, a maintenance person and a cleaning team. It is clearly under staffed. The pools need cleaning, walls, paintwork, bathrooms and outdoor areas need maintenance. In our room alone the skirting was detached from wall, extractor fan and toilet seat broken.The jacuzzi was never fixed, the sofa was stained and no soundproofing.

Poor stay would not recommend
I want to begin with the positives- the view from a bigger (upgraded) balcony was incredible. The balcony was spacious enough to do yoga/ pilates workout. Lastly, the reception always tried their best to help us- so no questions about that.
The negatives- the upgraded roo was in fact tiny, it was too tight to open a big suitcase.
There is one small boiler, which can't even fill up the jacuzzi and then forget about the shower, until the boiler fills up again.
The jacuzzi was not cleaned by the housekeeping team after each use (I used it more than once)
Slippers were removed by the housekeeping team and never replaced.
The breakfast was so poor and limited; I hadn't seen this in a 3-star hotel, only in hostels.
Besides the fact that the food quality in the restaurant was poor, the restaurant staff LIED TO ME twice that they closed, as they didn't want to serve me, so I had to return with a reception manager each time to resolve that.
Overall, definitely will not return and will do better research next time
