Nice

Nice campsite close to Opuwo. Great for a stop on the way to Epupa. Nice campsite and very friendly employees.

Great stay in Opuwo

This place is a bit far from Opuwo town, which was quite nice as it's a bit chaotic in town. The chef made us a vegan dinner which was nice. The next morning he showed us around the veggie garden. Rooms were decent, but lacked a bit in character. Overall a decent stay and good for a nights rest before heading to Epupa.

Appearances can be deceiving

On the website, this accommodation looks very appealing and the price seems attractive. Unfortunately, it turned out to be rather disappointing on-site. The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired. Dead insects had accumulated on the poorly closing mosquito nets. The air conditioning was unbelievably loud and unusable at night. To our misfortune, the pool was completely drained on our arrival day. Since it was also not possible to book activities, we didn’t know what to do in the afternoon with temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius. The lodge’s grounds do not offer many options. The manager suggested taking a trip into the town of Opuwo, which was not an option for us and perhaps not the best tip for tourists either. We are giving 2 stars for the friendly kitchen team and the tasty dinner. There is also significant potential for improvement in the service, but everyone was very attentive. At first glance, it’s a nice accommodation, but a closer look reveals many shortcomings.

Very nice lodge for passing through

We spent a night there on the campsite while we were passing through. The pool and the restaurant for campers are very nice and the food is delicious. The shared bathroom is also original.

Wildnis und Komfort - hier gut möglich

Im Norden bei Opuwo gelegen, eine Lodge, die allen Komfort bietet, aber sehr naturnah ausgestattet ist. Komfortable Bungalow, mitten in der Wildnis, gutes Essen, super Service, zuvorkommendes Personal, gar der Besitzer Hered arbeitet mit! Unbedingt besuchenswert. Es ist ein unvergleichlicher Beispiel, wie gut Recycling funktionieren kann, bravo! Bilder liegen bei. Den Ausflug zu den Himbas unbedingt machen!
