Maria at the front desk was excellent! She helped a few Texans navigate Amsterdam. She helped us order food and was kind, considerate and entertaining. She deserves a raise!

This hotel doesn’t even deserve to operate

Horrible treatment. The front desk agent does not reply in time which will get you in problems. Then they will charge you a full price for a service they don’t offer. Careful not to fall for this! Once arrived at the airport then they will pretend to try and help, but you’ll already be spending the same amount you would anywhere. Spend it rather at Ibis or another one, but never this location.

The hotel that you arrive to is about as far from what you book as is possible to be. Instead of a fancy glass building, you arrive at what best can be described as a normal, rather run down, house. From there things went downhill. I was put up in a windowless room underground. This is not really an issue, if it wasn't for the fact that the room was horribly cold and humid to a point when condensation was running on the walls (as I entered the room).
Had it not been for the fact that I only stayed one night I would have required to have my money refunded - this hotel is not a hotel, it is a fraud.

Good value for money

We stayed here 5 nights in August and our stay was excellent! Staff is very pleasant and really takes the time for you. The hotel has just opened for 1 year and everything has been renovated and new.
The rooms were very clean and modern, but not very spacious (typically Amsterdam). Breakfast is average but ok for the price.
The free parking was really ideal for us. By car you are within 10 minutes in the city center. I don't understand why you have to pay for your car at other hotels if you are a hotel guest.
The hotel has no spa or restaurant facilities, but the price quality is really very good. We will definitely be back.

Old, Dark and Dingy

Great location directly on a canal that opens to a lake, but what a rundown, dark and dingy place. My biggest complaint was the dim lighting and lack of natural light in our room. It felt like a cave, and nowhere in the room or bathroom was good for putting on makeup due to shadows. There was a balcony but the glass door didn’t open so you couldn’t go sit out there. We had to upgrade to this room so we could be on the top floor and it definitely was not worth the extra money. We won’t be staying here again
