Mystery charges and bank account blocks that Hilton will not explain nor remove.

Booked a room in Homewood Suites by Hilton in Reston VA for next 6 weeks. At check in on a Wednesday, was told they would hold $2700 on my credit card. I refused and negotiated a hold of $200 and I offered to pay for each week past, on each Sunday. Mgr liked that and assured me of no additional hold amount. The next day, without telling me, the hotel blocked $862.39. The manager could not find out why they had blocked that, and could not remove it! On Sunday I payed for the previous 4 nights but that same night the hotel charged the card an additional $455.31. I called the Hilton Honors number and they could not tell me why the blocking and odd charging had occurred. So they called the hotel and talked 18 minutes. Honors cust svc could neither explain the charges nor remove them. Tonight, front desk could not see the hold or the last charge, could not explain them, and could not remove them. WHO THE HELL IS RUNNING HILTON HOTELS? I will leave tomorrow and head to a Marriott property nearby, at a much higher nightly rate. Hilton will lose about $7000. Been a loyal Hilton customer since 1983. Adios. Do not stay at this out-of-control hotel in Reston.

Breakfast makes the stay

Tiara made the best breakfast!! She is so sweet and came around to ask us how we were and if we needed anything else. The customer service is amazing!!
The room was adequate. The pillows were little clouds. My daughter loved the multiple settings on the shower. When we came in, we were greeted by an associate who didn’t work the front desk, but knew that he had stepped away for a moment and didn’t want us to go without a greeting.

Great Stay

Beautiful hotel nestled away from all the hustle and bustle but still close enough to be convenient to all the things like the metro station and businesses. Breakfast was great. Bed was comfortable. Shower was wonderful. Great place to be a home away from home with its kitchenette with full size fridge. 100/100 would stay again.

Nice place- close to ice rink

One of the nicer Homewoods I’ve stayed at. Property seems newer. The free breakfast at any of these places can be underwhelming, but I actually thought they had plenty of food and variety (and their team worked hard to replenish it). They had breakfast tacos as one option with all the toppings you could want, which was a great idea. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We were in Reston for a figure skating competition, and this location is perfect. The rink is right behind the hotel (you have to walk across a small lawn). We took the Metro into DC, which is a solid 15 minute walk to the Wiehle-Reston station (a bit of a hike if you have luggage). There is a local taco place within walking distance that is legit. And a bike shop where they also make craft beer and invite food trucks that was excellent and fun.
