A mixed bag
However, it is clearly short staffed and oneership needs to hire more or pay more to those there. The Marriott Club was beeeft of anything - the coffee machine was broken. You go over the bar area but the coffee was out and on two days it took over 20 minutes to get a coffee. People were waiting 30 mins for breakfast. I stay in about 40 Marriott properties a year and it felt this one was still wrapped up in Covid staffing challenges.
I want to stress everyone I spoke to who worked there was wonderful and apologetic - they were clearly frustated they were not set up for success.

Not enough elevators working!!
We booked an extra night to enjoy downtown Winston Salem. There is alot to see and do and the town did not disappoint us. However, the hotel did. Although a very pretty hotel, fabulous staff and updated, very comfortable CLEAN rooms, the elevators seemed to be extremely old. Out of 3 elevators, we mostly had 1 working for 4 days. With hundreds of people staying in the hotel for the convention, this created a huge problem. The lights were burned out on the up and down buttons, so you didn't know if pressing them worked. With 18 floors and guests staying on a schedule for the convention there was always a line and a long wait. We were on the 7th floor and healthy enough to walk up and down the stairs most of the time. At no time was there a notice or apology about the elevators. Perhaps a paper slipped under your door? If you go to this hotel, only request a lower floor in case this happens again. It really put a dent in our otherwise fabulous weekend.

One of the best out of my 60 years of staying at various four star hotels.
Ms. Sheila gave me places to take my very active 6-year-old granddaughter to expell her energy.
Xavier asked the chef to fix me chicken sausage for breakfast, as I don't eat pork.
The rooms smelled fresh, were very clean and spacious. Concierge services were great as well.
Our stay was fantastic!!
